“Philanthropy to Make a Difference”

For more than forty years, the JICSL has evolved with changing times, and while this past season was uniquely complex, it was an extraordinary one. The JICSL distributed $1,579,500 in critical donations to 43 non-profit Indian River County agencies including:

-$1,118,000 Grants to Indian River County Agencies

-$55,000 JI Employee Scholarships

-$206,500 Strategic Grants

-$200,000 COVID-19 Fund

Our lifetime grants now total $15,616,697

TAMBOURINE RESALE

The Tambourine Resale has exceeded all expectations with special thanks to the dedicated manager, volunteers and donors alike. The 2020-2021 year was successful in so many ways. For starters the “net sales” increased an astonishing 33.5% increase over the previous year which earned the highest profit in the over 40 year history of  The Tambourine Resale.

The shop is always in need of gently used clothing, household items and

furniture. Located at 1619 10th  Avenue (behind K-Mart), the shop is open

year-round Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Saturday

from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. For pick-up of large items, contact the shop at

562-0017 or Terry Osteen at fourgulls@msn.com.

Don’t forget to donate your nearly new or gently used items (including women’s and men’s clothing), housewares, furniture, golf clubs, jewelry, and any other items you think will sell in our “upscale” resale.

Historically our spring event nets the JICSL $400,000 - $500,000. To replace this, last year our fundraising efforts included the overwhelming success of the 1000 for 1000 Campaign, along with a very profitable season at the Tambourine Shop, a successful Masters Par 3, the sparkling Tiffany raffle, our newly introduced auction, and the sold out Kitchen Captive cookbook.
