The John’s Island Community Service League is a non-profit, member driven organization primarily involved in raising funds for operating expenses of charitable agencies in Indian River County concerned with the health, education, and human services issues that affect women, children and families in need. Only organizations that do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion or ethnicity will be considered. Scholarship support for post-secondary education is also provided to John’s Island Employees and their children.
Dear Friends of the JICSL,
We want to take this opportunity to thank you - our generous John’s Island Supporters. You have been the lifeblood of the John’s Island Community Service League since its inception 40 years ago.
We are still reeling from our decision to cancel the Killer Queen Concert which raises 60% of our annual grants budget. Each year, your donations support 40 local agencies helping families in need.
51% of Indian River families live paycheck to paycheck. Covid 19 will put those families right over the edge. The Agencies helping the elderly are likely to be pushed to their limits.
Your generous contributions have never been more important. We are obviously hoping that you are happy to leave your ticket purchase as a fully deductible charitable donation. However, if you would like a refund, please call Hope Woodhouse and she will make it happen.
While we were very disappointed to cancel Killer Queen, at the end of the day, it’s just a party. What’s important is you and your faithful support of the Service League’s mission each year. Thank you so much. You are the Champions!
